ABOUT ME
My name is Idwerd van der Meer, a graduated student Fashion & Textile Technology from The Netherlands. My biggest interests are designing, product development and material development. During my third year, I did a 5 month internship as a Garment Technician at a Quality Assurance Department. The following 5 months, I followed the minor Fashion technology in Ghent, which was focussed on product development, pattern drawing, design and textile material knowledge. I did my graduation internship as Product developer, and assistant designer, at a clothing brand for kids and worked there for 6 more months after graduating.
With this portfolio, I would like to show you what I have learned and done during the past 4 years of studying and during my work. I will explain projects, courses and tasks I have done at Saxion and HoGent.
In my spare time, I like to visit (fashion) exhibitions in musea and I like to sew and be creative. I go to events like Amsterdam FashionWeek, Dutch Design Week and lectures/presentations given by designers or other people who work in the fashion- and textiles field, because there is always new things to learn and be inspired by.
