Items can not be assembled without practice. That is why prototyping (clothing technology)is an important subject in my study. This course was given from day one and in the past 3,5 years I practiced a lot.
At Saxion, I followed three levels of prototyping. Two were given during the first year and were all about basic techniques in woven constructions and I had to make different skirts. The other one was given during the second year and was mainly about patterndrafting, but I also had to practice constructions and hems that are used in jersey materials. For the end assignment I had to draw my own pattern for a longsleeve t-shirt and assemble it.

This subject was also a course during my minor. During this course I created a sweater, a lace top and a dress with lining. Each product had different, new constructions. For example. the lace top seams were only French seams.
Besides making products during these courses, I made products during projects too.
